RALLYE TERRE D'ALERIA

Terre d'Aleria, round of the FFSA French Terrestrial Rally Championship Organised over just two days of competition (including reconnaissance), the rounds of the French Terrestrial Rally Championship offer competitors the most condensed format possible, and the public some fierce confrontations and special stages that are always highly spectacular. The special stages of the French Terracotta Rally Championship take place almost entirely on unsurfaced roads, the route of which is revealed to the drivers at the very last moment, and which they only recognise once, usually in the morning, to contest against the stopwatch. The variety of terrain is perfectly suited to the fastest gentlemen drivers, and is just as appealing to young drivers looking for experience, particularly with a view to their progression to the highest level of the discipline. The majority of World Championship events take place on dirt tracks.

I SCONTRI DI VIULUNCELLI DI MOÏTA

From 8 to 12 July 2026 - Free concerts in Oriente! The Moita cello was designed and built in 1843 by Francescu Filippi, a luthier from Moïta. After suffering considerable damage, it was kept in the Filippi workshop until 1993, when it was entrusted to Ugo Casalonga, a luthier in Pigna, Balagne. The result is remarkable. It is a unique piece, both in terms of its construction (it is smaller than a normal cello) and its sound. For its maker, it represents a kind of proof of his mastery and talent in the art of violin making. To celebrate its 'rebirth', a voluntary association was set up in the village, which has been organising a festival every summer for 14 years now. All the big names come to Moïta to perform on a voluntary basis in the churches of Moïta and the entire mountain region of Oriente. Between classical music, contemporary music and lyrical song, the Moïta Cello Encounters gently bring together several generations around the promotion of their cultural heritage". The president is Marie-Paule Chipponi, surrounded by passionate volunteers.

FETE DE LA NATIVITE DE LA VIERGE PELERINAGE DE NOTRE DAME DE PANCHERACCIA

"In the village of Pancheraccia, as was the case in Lourdes, it is said that in the 18C the Virgin appeared to a little girl lost in the mountains, creating a spring in a place where there was nothing but rocks and maquis. Since that day, Pancheraccia has become an important place of pilgrimage in Corsica. The chapel, built in honour of the Madonna, overlooks the valley, providing magnificent views all the way to the sea. On the evening of 7 September a torchlight procession, involving a number of brotherhoods, is held in the streets of the village. The next day, ribbons offered to pilgrims on the church square after the procession, are then blessed. The chapel remains open to pilgrims throughout the year as this superb site is more than just a sanctuary - the unspoilt setting and peace and quiet here are popular attractions in themselves. "
