LOVE & PSYCHS - Beauty is a curse. Corsican actors Marie-Paule Franceschetti, Misandra Fondacci and Sampieru Medori share the stage with Neapolitan singer and actress Chiara Di Girolamo and Tuscan actor Michele Onori. Orlando Forioso, in collaboration with Anne-Laure Cristofari, has written a text halfway between today's everyday life and the dreamlike world of myth. The show features original music by Italian composer Giovanni Marco Di Lena, video work by Martino Chiti from Livorno, photos by Camillo Massa and the technical skills of Vincent Grisoni's Corsican team. Directed by Orlando Forioso.

"In the village of Pancheraccia, as was the case in Lourdes, it is said that in the 18C the Virgin appeared to a little girl lost in the mountains, creating a spring in a place where there was nothing but rocks and maquis. Since that day, Pancheraccia has become an important place of pilgrimage in Corsica. The chapel, built in honour of the Madonna, overlooks the valley, providing magnificent views all the way to the sea. On the evening of 7 September a torchlight procession, involving a number of brotherhoods, is held in the streets of the village. The next day, ribbons offered to pilgrims on the church square after the procession, are then blessed. The chapel remains open to pilgrims throughout the year as this superb site is more than just a sanctuary - the unspoilt setting and peace and quiet here are popular attractions in themselves. "

Over the weekend, the département's cultural venues will be offering self-guided tours, guided tours and events on the theme of architectural heritage.
