COUVENT SAINT FRANCOIS D'AMPRIANI

Keeping a careful watch over the village of Ampriani, the convent of Saint-François is made up of a cloister, probably built on the site of a primitive chapel. Completed in 1730, this building has undergone several modifications, notably during the XIX century when the drying rooms replaced the rooms in the west wing. Théophile, Patron of Corsica, stopped here during his retreat dedicated to the poor in 1730. Private property cannot be visited. Access: D116 in the direction of Zuani. Listed as a MH on 22/02/08. Baroque cloister that is several hundred years old.
